So I started a “Thoughts from the Owner” blog on January 31st of 2015 with a mission to keep our readers (and I say “readers” plural, assuming, but not for certain, that more than one person has tuned in) up-to-date with the inner workings of my company, Everyman Media Works. The last informational, editorial styling of that article was as follows:
“I am going to attempt to keep a running blog about our “connecting and growing” adventures…“Thoughts from the Owner” as almost a commentary of what we are doing, how we are doing them… and how much fun we are having doing it! Stay tuned folks…it’s going to be an adventurous year!”
For those of you “folks that stayed tuned”, the running blog ran for…wait for it…just that one blog post! What an exciting journey, right? So this is me, returning to where we parted ways with one another, almost two entire years ago, like an ex who promised you the world then never called again. TAKE ME BACK I’M SORRY!
Hopefully you will accept my heartfelt apology and we can move forward. This time I promise to remain consistent, faithful and deliver on what I promise.
We really have had an awesome journey over the last two years, and in all seriousness, we have learned a ton. The absence of having even a thread of time to keep up with a blog should speak volumes as to what the last two years have been like. This business, my business, has had many up and downs for sure…and some really big ups and REALLY big downs at that! I have learned that entrepreneurship is just a little bit less than the easiest thing I’ve ever done, but definitely the most rewarding.
We are finally in the position where the right people are in place to document and relay the amazing culture we have here at Everyman Media Works! So this time when I say “stay tuned,” really do it! We are having so much fun at EMW and I can’t wait to report my crazy “Thoughts from the Owner” moving forward!
So in closing…I promise I didn’t cheat while I was away. I will be better this time around. Also, did I mention how beautiful you are 😉
Cheers,
Kirk
