Multi-tasking is as common today as a speechless social setting – due to the zombie-like attention we give our devices… unless of course that social setting is online.

It’s not uncommon to see someone in the grocery store shopping for groceries, writing and email, while talking on the phone ALL AT THE SAME TIME.

So it should come as no surprise that we also have a strong tendency to use social media while we are in the most sacred of place… The Bathroom.

According to a report by Nielsen documented in the Wall Street Journal, and which bundled data from a bunch of surveys conducted throughout 2013, “Young adults ages 18-24 are twice as likely (40%) to use social media in the bathroom compared to the average (21%).”

Personally I think that 40% is a huge understatement. (Or people are just embarrassed to admit we’ve all abandoned our standards for hygiene in favor of our crippling social media addictions.)

Either way, not having a great online presence, with great social media marketing, could mean you are missing out on such a new and awesome territory to venture into and advertise… A COMPLETE STRANGERS BATHROOM!
